(Scott #3830) This is a complete single-sided booklet of 20 stamps as pictured. Issued on January 30, 2004, the image depicted here of the Snowy Egret, was created by Nancy Stahl of New York. Stahl based her computer created image from photographs by naturalist Jean-Louis Dubois. The birds were hunted almost to extinction in the early twentieth century. The egrets were saved through conservation efforts by the National Audubon Society and others.
